If you’re reading this right now, odds are excellent that you’ve followed The Upside Down World for quite a while. My audience is kind of small, but mighty. I’ve been writing here off and on for over a decade but at some point, I had to do a cost-benefit analysis for writing all these essays that weren’t getting the sort of eyes on them that I felt they deserved. I decided earlier this year that since I already have all this material, much of it relatively unseen, instead of spending my time writing, I would spend my time putting together a plan to use what I already have to expand both the brand and my audience and THEN start writing again.
So that’s what I’ve been doing. This week I’m excited to launch my “Sunday Sermon” series. This is something I’ve wanted to do for years and I’m excited to share it with everyone. Each Sunday, I’ll be posting a “Sunday Sermon” based on an Upside Down World essay over at my Patreon page for anyone to listen to. In this week’s inaugural episode, I’ll be teaching on “Whoever is not against us is for us . . . “. Next week, I’ll have a special Christmas story to share and the week after that, we’ll be going back to the beginning of the story to discover something fascinating and remarkable about the bible and this experience we’re having here on planet earth.
These will be sermons the way you wish more pastors would give them – under 10 minutes, interesting, challenging, practical and faith building. So whether you’ve been sidelined from church by COVID or haven’t walked into a church building in years, I hope that you will make The Upside Down World’s Sunday Sermon series part of your Sunday routine and share it will your friends and family. Head over and take a listen now!
And when you’re done, be sure to stop by the new Upside Down World merch store where you’ll find gifts for you and all your smart, funny, insightful friends!
And don’t worry – there’s much more on it’s way. Piece by piece, I’m putting it all together. I’ll even have some new writing coming along soon. I can tell you about the time I helped disarm a murdered with my midwestern mom routine. I have some good stuff to share. You’re going to want to follow along!
