I’m taking this down because I’m never real comfortable having something this personal up. It’s a personal quirk, not anything dogmatic about blogging personal things. I’m just generally a private person who was having a very trying day. Thank you so much to anyone who said a prayer for my family. And any continued prayers for us are very much appreciated as well.

Longing for Holiday
/ February 9, 2008Hi. I prayed. My husband has been out of work for 3 years. I had to go back 2.5 years ago. It’s really tested his faith. Sometimes he says he can just hang on to “where will we go, for You have the words of eternal life?” I hang onto the promise that all things work for the best, and that the best is that we draw closer to Him, especially through these tough circumstances. He must really have a plan for your spiritual journey to allow this to happen.

At the moment you might have to ask for help from a foodbank or social services.Don’t be embarrassed your faith will be tested more than these.Just declare everyday I am the child of the Almighty God I know there is blessing in store for me and my family. Please keep praying>I know God will bless you.

/ February 10, 2008Rebecca, I was out of work for 20 months straight several years ago, and my wife was unable to work. We lost everything except our home. You will get through this fine, as long as you understand that things can always be worse than the little bit you are suffering now, horribly, terrifyingy worse, and that your only weakness is your self-pity.
Good luck,
Paul
